J. Andrew McTyre is pastor for the Park Central Presbyterian Church in Syracuse, New York. He is also a Fellow with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and holds a Masters of Divinity degree in pastoral counseling from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He also did graduate work at Rüshlikon theological Seminary and the Jung Institute in Zürich and at Emory University in Atlanta. His experience includes serving as co-pastor with his wife, Sarah, at a united UCC and PCUSA church in Oswego, New York. He was the founding therapist of the Family Counseling Ministry in Central New York. He has also supervised a residential drug and alcohol program and taught pastoral counseling at the seminary level. He has published in Pulpit Digest, Word and Witness, and The Pastor's Bible Study for Abingdon Press.
